After Action Reports
2011

March 12-13, 2011, Andersonville National Historic .Site
Kevin Gilbert-Americus Times-Recorder reporter, summed up one of the reason this event is so special:
"...living historians and reenactors are channeling the spirit of their American ancestors
to help visitors understand the lives of the Union and Confederate soldiers
at the actual site of the infamous prison."
Larry, Ken, Sandy, Denise, Janita and I, attended the event and it has left a lasting memory. The living historians, reenactors, Park staff, and volunteers, who were there are a special bunch and we, thank each and everyone for their help, fellowship and instruction, even if they didn't know they were doing so.
This event was one where those of us in the 3d Iowa was upon the hallow ground where, five 3d Iowa Cavalrymen died.
